Ambit Connect is a programme developed by Ambit New Media (UK) Ltd aimed at building on that strength, by linking talented individuals and small companies together in a network. This sharing of skills and knowledge has several benefits.
For media producers co-operation is cost-effective in marketing and in sharing of expertise. It builds good relationships that make joint working easier. It enables individuals and small companies to take part in major projects with back-up and support comparable to that enjoyed by large organisations. Client satisfaction is easier to achieve along with excellent client support.
For clients a co-operative network makes available a wide skills base, while retaining the commitment and accountability of the small local enterprise. The absence of hierarchical structures, coupled with efficient project management, reduces costs and keeps pricing competitive.
The purpose of Ambit Connect is to produce a win-win situation for producers and clients alike.
Flexibility
Many of the features of the networked organisation can be summed up in the word flexibility. The best combination of skills can be assembled for the job in hand.
- No one has to be shoehorned into a certain task for which they are not properly skilled simply because they are on a payroll. The focus is on achieving the required result.
- When occasion demands, network members can create a formal consortium, with contractual arrangements to match. At other times one member will contract with the client and sub-contract work to other members. For simpler contracts the member is still free to act alone.
- Whatever approach is employed, we aim to be open with those who use our services, and we never act as a cartel.
